Cavendish School is a small mixed Independent School for 11-16 year olds who have an Education Health Care Plan for SEMH. Our students are taught the full curriculum, taking Entry Level and GCSE in year 11.

We are looking to recruit the following staff:

 

A Teacher of SCIENCE

We wish to appoint a full time Teacher of Science to teach across KS3 and KS4 who is passionate about teaching and can enthuse our students to succeed in this this subject.

We are happy to receive applications from experienced teachers who have worked/trained in either primary or secondary in mainstream or a special setting.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to meet the needs of individual students who have SEMH and complex social and communications difficulties.  Training will be encouraged and the person appointed will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to personal development.    

We are looking for our new team member to have: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status

  • A sound subject knowledge

  • Experience of working with students with challenging behaviour

  • A desire to work with difficult and challenging students

  • A good record of working in a team

  • A range of strategies for motivating students

  • The flexibility to develop new and innovative ways of working

  • Excellent computer skills

Salary is dependent upon experience.    Closing date is the 12th May 2024.  Shortlisting will take place on 14th May 2024 interviews will take place week commencing 20th May 2024.            

 

Learning Support Assistants

Term Time Only 8.30am to 3pm

We are looking to expand our classroom support staff to work alongside the teacher supporting students accessing their learning. 

Applicants must have GCSE’s in Maths and English, previous experience of working with pupils in a school setting is essential working with pupils with SEND would be advantageous

Closing date is the 19th May 2024.  Shortlisting will take place on the 22nd May and interviews during week commencing 3rd June 2024.
