Social Media

We are on Twitter!

You can follow us on @CavendishSE16

The school uses its social networks to share updates, provide direction to a specific section of the website and also share photographs and work created in school!

It is well worth signing up to Twitter or asking your child to follow us as we may post updates and information on Twitter rather than email and text messaging.

A few polite Terms and Conditions

Our aim with social media is to be a positive and helpful tool for parents.  Providing updates and sharing our progress and student achievements.

For data protection please do not use our social media networks as a platform to share or voice your concerns regarding any issues.  Twitter is not managed by Teachers.  Any posts of this nature shall be deleted and not passed on.

Please use the traditional channels of email, telephone and post to contact the school with enquiries and concerns.

Thank you.

Cyberbullying

We have many conversations with parents and carers about their child's use of Social Media outside school and their concerns about bullying through this media.  We have attached the advice document produced by the Department for Education for you to look at which may be of some use.  If you do have concerns about Cyberbullying, even though it is outside of school, please make a member of staff at school aware in order that we may support you and your child with this.
